Mayors Taskforce For Jobs

Mackenzie MTFJ logoMackenzie MTFJ is supported by Mayor Anne Munro and is funded by Mayors Taskforce for Jobs and the Ministry of Social Development partnership.

The goal of MTFJ is to provide district wide support to disadvantaged youth and adults, with the vision that they are supported to be engaged in employment, education, training or other positive activities in their communities.

Job Seeker and Student support includes:

  • Driver licencing from learners – Class 2
  • Career pathway guidance, job seeking and job placement
  • CV and cover letter building
  • Pastoral care and post-placement support
  • Apprenticeship and paperwork evenings
  • Access and support to MSD Job Seeker Service
  • Training and tool allowances
  • In school group mentoring and self-confidence building
  • Youth Employability Programme

Employer support includes:

  • Support with recruitment
  • Support with training
  • Wage subsidy support

Looking for Staff?

We connect work-ready young people with local employers to create successful and sustainable employment opportunities. From finding work-ready young people who are a good fit for your business through to support with induction and work-ready costs, we can help.
We can support you with:

  • Finding suitable staff
  • Access to wage subsidies and assistance
  • Purchasing equipment and PPE gear
  • Training, including driver licensing
