Matariki Mackenzie

Come and celebrate the rise of Matariki at the Matariki Mackenzie festival – a celebration of whānau and whenua and a special place to connect through culture, kai and kōrero.

Hosted by Te Rūnanga o Arowhenua, the festival takes place on the Takapō lakeshore during the Matariki public holiday on Friday 28 June.

During the day, the festival will feature various wānanga/workshops, plenty of live music, a guided walk, and much more. In the evening, there will be a night food market, and a very special evening concert featuring Ardijah, 1 Drop Nation and Hone.
