Hamish Geary from Fairlie was nearing the end of his school education and wondered "What Next?", for when he left school.
He approached Wilson Building in Timaru about the possibility of a job and an apprenticeship.

Wilson Building have a long history of offering apprenticeships to young people to start them on their new career pathway in construction and Hamish was no exception. He has proven he has what it takes and slotted in their team well and has started his apprenticeship with BCITO.
Gary and Carol met with Leaine Rush, Mayors Taskforce for Jobs co-ordinator and received funding so Hamish could receive a stack of tools that will help him with his apprenticeship and beyond.
The Mackenzie District Council and MTFJ wish Hamish all the best with his new career.
