High Country Motorcycles is a name that is synonymous with classic and modern motorcycles, particularly Harley Davidson. Noel and Pauline Jackson have been in Fairlie since the 1980’s and Noel has created a successful business that attracts clients internationally.
Conner Potter joined Noel in the workshop as a Gateway student, and after proving himself to being worthy of welding a spanner, Noel employed him as an apprentice.
Mackenzie District Mayor Graham Smith visited Conner and Noel at High Country Motorcycles' workshop and was impressed with the toolkit that Conner has received due to the funding provided by MTFJ.
Conner has since moved to Auckland to pursue his love of cars, changing the direction of his apprenticeship. Noel is fully supportive of Conner’s move, and enjoyed having Conner in the workshop for the last 18 months.
Mackenzie District Council and MTFJ are pleased to have supported High Country Motorcycles and Conner into his apprenticeship and we wish him well as he continues his career in Auckland.
