Mackenzie, Timaru and Waimate District Councils are asking their community if they support moving South Canterbury Anniversary Day from 26 September to Friday 11 November.
The suggested move follows the Government announcement of Monday 26 September as Queen Elizabeth II Memorial Day.
South Canterbury residents will be asked if they support moving South Canterbury Anniversary Day to align with Canterbury Anniversary day on Friday 11 November or not.
The results of this survey will be presented to meetings of each of the three councils on Tuesday 20 September, where a decision whether or not to move the holiday will be made for each district.
It is open until 11.59pm, Friday 16 September.
