Roading contractors, Fulton Hogan have been busy in recent weeks on a number of gravel roads within the Mackenzie District.
An example of this is on Clayton Road, where over several weeks between grading cycles, a change in grading practices have improved the road shape, cross fall and drainage. A result of this is less pot holes, particularly in the road's crown/centre.
In time, Fulton Hogan will schedule aggregate/metal to be placed in correct locations, helping to further improve road condition.
The two pictures show Clayton Road before, during the first grading round with a flat surface and now, in the second grading round, with improved road condition.
