Are you community minded? Do you have an interest in the arts? Do you live in or around Twizel?
The Mackenzie District Creative Communities have a vacancy so are seeking a Twizel representative to join them on their assessment committee.
Who is needed?
- Someone who knows what’s happening in the arts locally and may have experience in one or more forms of art.
- Someone with specific cultural knowledge relevant to the arts.
- Someone who has an interest in furthering creative activities in the Mackenzie District.
What’s involved?
You’ll help assess applications for funding from artistic individuals and community groups and attend assessment committee meetings which are currently held just twice a year. This does not take a great deal of time commitment.
Regarding the assessment process, you will be provided with good learning and support from Creative NZ, other committee members, Creative NZ and from the Mackenzie District administrator of the grant.
The Creative Communities Scheme (CCS)
Each year Creative New Zealand provides CCS funding to local and district councils throughout New Zealand to distribute in their area. The scheme supports more than 1,800 projects every year.
