Douglas Fir trees on the Southern Boundary of McLean Park are being removed by contractors over the period of Tuesday 31 May - Friday 3 June.

After Dark Road Safety Audit

A night time road safety audit took place by Council's roading contractor Fulton Hogan during May. The audit, lead by Fulton Hogan's Network & Safety Manager Robyn Gardener, involved a network drive of Mackenzie District roads after dark.

Council has kicked off a review of the Mackenzie District Plan. A District Plan is essentially the rule book that sets district-wide rules for sustainably managing how people use, subdivide, and develop land, what and where they can build, and what kind of activities they can undertake.

If your drinking water comes from a private well, come to the Orari Temuka Opihi Pareora Water Zone Committee's Well Water Check, at Fairlie Golf Club on Monday 16 May from 3pm to 5pm, to test your water quality for free.

Kerbside Collections & Resource Recovery Parks at Easter

Twizel Resource Recovery Park is closed for Good Friday, while Kerbside Collections for Fairlie, Albury, Kimbell and Burkes Pass instead take place on Saturday 16 April.

Te Manahuna Ki Uta Destination Management Plan Drop in Sessions

Work to develop the Te Manahuna Ki Uta Destination Management Plan for the Mackenzie District has been making great progress. A considerable amount of work has been underway over the past few months, and we are almost at the stage of releasing the material to industry and the community for feedback.
