About Objective Build
Objective Build is a new online platform designed to create consistency, transparency and quality in building applications and consents.
The Objective Build system building consent application platform covers all aspects of the building consent process including applying for amendments to an approved building consent or applying for a code compliance certificate when you have finished building.
Objective Build is simple and intuitive to use, having full visibility of how the application is progressing.
If you have not used Objective Build before, please refer to the information below to help get you started.
Getting started with Objective Build
Through your personal dashboard you’ll be able to see your consent’s progress, respond to requests for information (RFI), and apply for a Code Compliance Certificate (CCC), a Certificate of Acceptance (COA) or an amendment.
Once you have an Objective Build account, your dashboard will also show any other consents you have lodged with other Councils using Objective Build. If you have already used Objective Build through other Councils you will be able to use your existing account with us.

- You can create Contact and Document Libraries, keeping all of your most common key contacts and consent templates in one place to save time.
These will continue to be processed using Council's previous system. This means you will not be able to see them in the Objective Build customer portal, and you will need to keep sending information via email to the Building Team at building@mackenzie.govt.nz.

When you are ready to lodge a building consent, open the Building Consent Application portal, create an account for yourself if required, using your name, email address and a secure password, then you are ready to go.
We will do a check to make sure that your application is complete and send you an email confirming that it is complete or advising of further information that is required.
Application fee invoices will be sent to the nominated person once vetting is complete. The application will not be processed as accepted until all fees owing have been paid, so please ensure that payment is made promptly when you receive your invoice.
For more information on payment options please contact the Customer Services team on 0800 685 8514.
Your application can be saved at any time so you do not loose your progress.
If you get stuck, save your progress, check out the video tutorials then return to your application.
