About Twizel Events Centre
The Twizel Events Centre is located on Market Place, Twizel, within a single building complex, adjacent to the Twizel Community Pool.
The theatre is used for community events and stage productions, and can seat 217 people. The theatre features a curtained stage with provision for lighting, and a changing room area.
The main hall can hold indoor basketball and soccer games, and has full markings set out for these, and for badminton matches. Within this space are two rock climbing walls.
Adjacent are two squash courts, a meeting lounge, upstairs viewing platform, kitchen, and toilets and changing room areas.
Tables, chairs and benches are available, stored on-site.
Casual hire of the facility is available for meetings, weddings and other social functions or events.
Kitchen facilities
Facilities consist of a two fridges, a kettle, freezer, two ovens, eight elements, a hot pan, a Zip water heater, three sinks and a microwave.
Cooking utensils, bowls and plates are stored on site.
The hirer supplies their own cutlery, pots and pans. All dish washing is the responsibility of the hirer.
Occupancy
The hall capacity is for 500 people. The theatre seats 217 people. The community room capacity is for 30 people.
Defibrillator
A defibrillator is available on-site.
