Planned Closures

Main Street, Fairlie - Wednesday 1 January 2025

Pursuant to the Local Government Act 1974 and Transport (Vehicular Traffic Road Closure) Regulations 1965, notice is hereby given that the Mackenzie District Council and Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency, for the purpose of a New Years Day Parade to be held by Mackenzie Roads will close:

• State Highway 8 (Main Street) between Allandale Road (SH79) and Gray Street
• Regent Street between State Highway 8 and No 10 Regent Street

The closure will take place from 1.30pm to 4.00pm on 1 January 2025.

During the proposed period of closure, the following provision will be made for ordinary vehicular traffic, which would otherwise use the road:

• The alternative route will be via Gray Street.
